All had flowed as smoothly as such excursions into our local ChinaAnnexSuperStore ever do. Well, unless you count the part where my husband balked strenuously at entering a Walmart of the SuperStore ilk. At which point I looked at him like the spineless, wormy, thingamagig he’d become and growled, “And you think *I* want to go to Walmart?”

Coincidence Theorists ‘R’ Us

I just finished watching the movie, “Meet John Doe.” I don’t know how many times I’ve seen it in my life. I didn’t get it when I was a small child. Then I got it as I grew up: evil rich men use poor people to get richer. Over time, with repetition, it came to seem trite to me, sort of like the movie, “It’s A Wonderful Life.”
