I literally felt like I’d fallen down Alice’s rabbit hole. I was in a world of slave labor owned by Americans using Chinese fronts…or maybe I was in a world of Chinese-American partnerships…or maybe I just needed to examine a bit more closely the boring stuff I’d read about China propping up America financially.

In A Mess of Porridge, I wrote about Addie Polk, a 90 year old widow, who shot herself when her home was foreclosed on by Countrywide Home Mortgage. In that article I mentioned Countrywide had been taken over by Bank of America, and questioned BoA’s motives.
